Dec. 20, 2007: Miller Wells partner Trevor Wells has persuaded the Kentucky Supreme Court to reverse a Jefferson Circuit Court judgment convicting a defendant of Murder, Assault, and other crimes and sentencing him to serve 25 years in prison. The Court held that the prosecution's references during its opening statement to highly prejudicial evidence that it never successfully formally introduced into evidence, combined with instructional errors, required a new trial.
