Mr. Messer joined Miller + Wells following a clerkship with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit where he was a judicial clerk for the Hon. Eugene E. Siler, Jr.  A graduate of the University of Kentucky, magna cum laude, Mr. Messer was an Editor for the Law Review while in law school and is the published author of "Open Season on the Journalist's Privilege: Do Recent Rulings Represent a Trend Against Assertions of the Privilege or Proper Applications of Existing Law?" 94 Ky. L.J. 421 (2006).

Mr. Messer handles a number of complex litigation matters for the clients of the firm and works closely with the partners to assist with some of the largest cases within the firm.
